School Project – DeVry University (2008)

Overview

This fish game is an ongoing school project for my Bachelors degree in Game and Simulation programming at DeVry University. It is built on Torque Game Builder and beleive it or not, it is the first 2D game I’ve ever created. I’m used to three axes of movement, not two so it was an interesting change and step backwards for me.

Objective

The objective of the game is simple: eat the food being dropped from above or your fish dies. You control the fish with the WASD keys and can boost using the spacebar. The other fish in the tank will eat the food if it touches them, thus removing the chance for you to get it. As time progresses, your fish gets smaller and smaller. You must keep eating or pretty soon the fish gets so small it does and floats to the top.
